August 31st-Soups & Muffins

Good Morning!

If you have not taken the chance to go outside this morning to witness the beauty all around you then stop right now-go outside and take it all in for a few minutes. We are having a gorgeous day here at The Baldpate Inn! On my way out the door to get the daily paper the chattering of squirrels broke the morning silence as an ever present cool mountain breeze brushed on by me without a word. The sun gently touched my face as I looked down onto the sun soaked valley surrounded by mountains and covered by a canopy of blue skies stroked lightly with clouds.

Potato Leek (vegetarian and one of my favorites) along with Beef Stew (also one I enjoy) are the two soups are great chefs are busy preparing to top off the soup pots today! I recommend a slice of our Honey Wheat Bread with either soup. On the menu today are two of our savory muffins sure to tantalize your tastebuds: Buttermilk Bran as well as Triple Cheese! For all of you with a sweet tooth-don't worry we will also be serving our Banana Butterscotch Muffins! The specialty salads our lovely staff has prepared are Apple Cinnamon, Gazpacho and Lemon Mandarin Orange! End your dining pleasure with a slice of homemade pie!

I along with the rest of the staff would love for you to come by and dine with us today! Please call 970-586-6151 or toll-free 866-577-5397 to making dining reservations. Visit www.baldpateinn.com to find out more about us and to sign-up for our newsletter! Bring by your keys-we'd love to add them to our collection!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's the Rocky Mountain Balloon Festival!

Good Morning, Estes Park!

I was lucky enough to visit the town of Littleton, Colorado last weekend during the Rocky Mountain Balloon Festival.  Everyone had their heads turned toward the sky to watch the colorful balloons float across the park.  It was quite the sight!  Baldpate guests kept their eye on the sky last night as well, as they watched a beautiful sunset from our perch on Twin Sisters Mountain.  The pink light of the sunset flooded into our sun porch, as dinner guests enjoyed their meals. I had to snap a few pictures!

Come and taste a part of Baldpate history today, as our chefs debut two new (and DELICIOUS) muffins!  Chef Jason's camping trip a few months ago inspired his creation of a S'mores muffin that he made for the staff here at The Baldpate.  It quickly became such a favorite among staff members that we decided we could no longer keep it for ourselves!  J's S'more muffins will be on our buffet along with Innkeeper Lois' new Peachy Pam's Almond muffins....named after yours truly!  A little bit of peach, a little bit of almond, and named after me! What more could you want?!  Come and try one of each....we know you'll be back for s'more!

Our soup pots will be filled with Cowboy Buffalo Stew and Corn Chowder.  Try a bowl with a side of our famous cornbread!  We look forward to seeing you today!  For reservations, please call (970) 586- 6151.

Good Morning Blogger!

Yet another beautiful day in Estes Park! I hope you have time in your busy schedule to enjoy this glorious weather. I also hope you have time to stop by your favorite inn for some delicious treats! We are awaiting your arrival with our Beef Stew and Corn Chowder soups. We also have prepared for your delight our Lemon Ginger and Cranberry Nut muffins.

So please stop by The BPI and say hi! My days are numbered here in Estes Park before I return to school for the fall semester, so please make sure and make it up sometime this week or weekend before I leave! I look forward to seeing you.

August 4 Soup of the Day

Good morning Baldpate friends!

I hope you were all able to enjoy the refreshing rain that graced The Baldpate Inn yesterday evening! I sat on the porch for quite some time watching the rain fall and feeling the cool breeze. What a lovely change of weather!

Today is looking to be clear skies and sunshine here at the inn. We hope you all can make it out to savor our delicious White Chili and Tomato Rice soups. We are serving up freshly baked Oatmeal Blues and Triple Cheese muffins, along with our heavenly Cornbread. Today's specialty salads are Orange Cinnamon Apple, Gazpacho, and Keenly Peach Creme. (There was a slight mix up yesterday, but today we really will be serving these three tasty salads today!)

Feel free to call us at the Front Desk and make your reservation for a yummy meal at The Baldpate Inn. Our toll free number is 866-577-5397. Have a wonderful day!
