Time has really flown by this summer! I remember when I first moved here at the beginning of May and October 12th seemed so far away. But now here we are on October 11th with just two more days left to our season at The Baldpate Inn! Tomorrow we will close after lunch at 2pm, so be sure to make a plan to come in for one last visit to The Baldpate this season! Today's menu is sure to have a lot of people calling for reservations! Red Chili and Broccoli Cheese soup will be on the buffet as well as our All-Bran and Tropical Paradise muffins! Our famous cornbread will be coming fresh out of the oven as well!

Soups, Muffins & Family!
Good Morning, Estes Park!
It's our last Friday of the season, here at The Baldpate Inn! Our tasty menu today includes the delicious Potato Leek soup and hearty White Chili. Banana Butterscotch (one of my personal favorites!) and Lemon Blueberry muffins will be coming fresh out of the oven and onto our buffet. Try a piece or two of our famous cornbread....it's delicious! And as always, save room for pie! When my brothers came to visit this past week, they really fell in love with the mountains, the wildlife and the food at The Baldpate!!

Good Morning!
We have the makings for a majestic day here at The Baldpate Inn! While Twin Sisters continues to daunt a shadow over Lily Lake the valley is being soaked with golden rays of sunshine as a gentle mountain breeze passes ever so lightly across the splendid Aspen leaves which have almost all turned to show off their fall colors and a Steller's Jay again graces us with his presence! Breathtaking views are all around us! One of our servers, Fitz- (with his German Shepherd-Chaos) is celebrating his birthday today-come on by to wish him a Happy Birthday!

Good Morning!
It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here at The Baldpate Inn! The sun is sending down its golden rays to warm everything in its path while a mountain breeze swiftly goes by taking with it a few of the Apsen leaves only hanging on by an invisible thread.
Back in the kitchen our wonderful chefs are busy preparing two soups to start your tastebuds off right: Red Chili as well as Cream of Mushroom! Have a slice of our homemade Honey Wheat Bread or our mouth-watering Baldpate Corn Bread with either soup. Lemon Ginger Muffins (featured in Bon Appetit) along with Golden Sunshine Muffins are two of our sweet muffins that will be featured on the buffet today! The lovely staff has prepared the specialty salads for the day! Remember to save room for pie-with or without ice cream you cannot go wrong!

Today's menu is a great reason to stop into The BPI one final time before the winter! Flames are dancing about in the fireplace here at The Baldpate Inn on this breezy fall morning while the golden Aspen leaves continue to fall to the ground and a Steller's Jay graces us with his presence yet again!

Our lovely chefs are preparing Beef Stew along with Corn Chowder for your dining pleasure back in the kitchen! I recommend trying a slice of our homemade Honey Wheat Bread with either soup. October 4th-Soups & Muffins
Good Morning!
The brisk morning greeted me when I headed out the door for the morning paper as the sun pierced through the clouds to highlight Longs Peak and a slight mountain breeze caused the Aspen leaves which continue to change color right before our eyes as the days pass dance! They persist on falling to the ground-reminding one of rose petals scattered amongst the floor. We have breathtaking views here at The Baldpate Inn-come on up to enjoy them!
Today our fine chefs are busy preparing two soups sure to warm you from head to toe: Cowboy Buffalo Stew and Cream of Mushroom! Swing on in for a bowl or two paired nicely with a slice of our homemade Honey Wheat Bread or our mouth-watering Baldpate Corn Bread! Want to have both but afraid you'll be too full for a wonderful slice of pie? No problem-share with a dining partner! We are serving one of my favorite muffins today: Oatmeal Blues along with our savory Zucchini Dill Muffins! Orange Cinnamon Apple, Gazpacho and Raspberry Delight are the specialty salads our lovely staff has prepared to tantalize your tastebuds today! Don't leave without a slice of pie! October!
Good Morning, Estes Park!
It is October 1st, which means you only have 12 more days to come and enjoy The Baldpate Inn before we close for the season on the afternoon of October 12th! My twin brother Eric (living in Chicago) and my older brother Alan (living in San Diego) are both making a trip to Estes to experience all of the great things I have been telling them about The BPI and Estes Park! Hopefully when they arrive they will see as many elk as I did yesterday in the park:
Back in Illinois, traffic would stop to let ducks cross the road. My brothers will be amused that here in Estes you wait for ELK to cross the road!
