Today we are serving Beef Stew and Pumpkin Curry, along with Banana Butterscotch and Zucchini Dill muffins. Tonight and tomorrow are the last days we will be serving dinner for the season.

The End to Another Fantastic Summer Enchanted Evening Season

A huge shout out to Connor Newman on his presentation last night! His talk on Rocky Mountain National Park geology marked our last Summer Enchanted Evening of the season.

We would like to thank everyone who gave a presentation this summer. We had some amazing talks on very interesting subjects. Also, thank you to everyone who came out each week and supported our Summer Enchanted Evening program! You folks are what make it all possible. We'll see you next year.

Today is the last day of Autumn Gold. Come to Estes Park to enjoy all of the festivities and the fall leaves. While you are in town stop by The Baldpate Inn to take part in our own festivities. Autumn Gold

Hello all!

We are celebrating a wedding this evening, so our dining room hours are shortened for the day. We will be serving lunch only from 11:30-2:00.

In conjunction with Autumn Gold in Estes Park, we are doing our own Enchanted Autumn Gold themed days this weekend. Today is corn day! We are serving Cornbread, Corn Chowder, and Corn Salad. In addition, we are serving Beef Stew, Poppyseed Muffins, and Onion Garlic Muffins.

Alicia's SEE

Come one, come all to this week's Summer Enchanted Evening. Join Alicia Rochambeau as she provides an overview of the ski history in Estes park especially highlighting how Hidden Valley evolved from a modest ski area in the 1930s, a resort that opened in 1955, and the popularity of backcountry skiing that has risen since the resort closed in 1991. Today, Hidden Valley is a bustling winter recreation area. Rochambeau will explain why and how Hidden Valley has become a choice location for skiers attracted to the backcountry experience. The presentation will include historical photographs from the Museum as well as hands-on presentation of current gear to aid in demonstrating how the winter time activity evolved over the years.

Thanks Topher!

A huge thank you to Topher Kittilson! His presentation last night was fantastic, entertaining, and very informative. Who knew you could learn about 2000 years of history in little more than an hour? We had our largest audience of the season last night!

While we don't have anything nearly as exciting as last night's presentation scheduled for today, it is still a wonderful day to enjoy homemade soups, salads, muffins, and pie. The aspens at The Baldpate Inn are just starting to change colors and look beautiful: a great pairing with our buffet.

Colorado History with Topher Kittilson

Tonight we have our Summer Enchanted Evening at 7PM in the Key Room! One of our staff curators, Topher Kittilson, will talk about Colorado history. Topher received his degree in history from the University of Denver, and specialized in Colorado history.

This event is free and open to the public; light refreshments are provided.

The Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival is in full swing here in Estes Park! Stop by The Baldpate Inn between events and show off your tartans. We have a couple folks on staff from the Stewart and McFarlane clans.

To start of with The Baldpate Inn wants to give a huge shout out to Mary Beth Lagerborg and Pattie Logan. Their presentation last night on writing personal histories was great. The audience had a great time interacting with the presentation.

For more fun on Wednesdays come to our last three Summer Enchanted Evenings. Next week will be Topher, one of our very own museum curators, with a presentation on mountain towns and Colorado history. September 21st we have Alicia Rochambeau discussing Ski History and on September 28th Connor Newman will be ending the program with a lecture on Rocky Mountain National Park Geology. No reservation is required as this is a free event, however if you would like to do dinner before hand give us a call!
