July 29th-Soups & Muffins

Good Morning!

I don't think I could have asked for a better morning! Here at The Baldpate Inn the sun has been sending down its rays of warmth ever since it rose over the mountains, chipmunks can be seen-mouths full-scampering across the property, the hummingbirds are as active as ever, not a cloud can be found in the sky, our Steller's Jay is again gracing us with his presence, and the leaves of the Aspen trees are dancing along with the gentle breeze.

The soups our fine chefs are busy preparing today are Cowboy Buffalo Stew and Corn Chowder! Try a slice of Honey Wheat Bread with either. Not in the mood for it? No problem. Today we are also having our mouth-watering Baldpate Corn Bread! The muffins for today are: Oatmeal Blues for those with a sweet tooth (my favorite) and Zucchini Dill for those who prefer a more savory muffin.

Today our specialty salads are: Apple Apricot, Classic Coleslaw, and Keenly Peach Creme! Come by anytime today between 11:30am and 8:00pm to enjoy any or all of our menu items featured on our salad buffet today! Save room for a slice of homemade pie-with or without ice cream you cannot go wrong! I recommend cherry, chocolate, and rhubarb.

After your lovely meal take a stroll around Lily Lake. Just the other day on my walk I was able to witness some of nature's newest members-baby ducks trustingly gliding through the water behind their mother.
