August 14th: Soups & Muffins

Good Morning!

Here at The Baldpate Inn we are experiencing the makings of yet another beautiful day! As I started off for my daily walk for the paper, the clean-cool-crisp mountain air greeted me while the sunrays hit me ever so lightly as I listened to the squirrels chatter amongst themselves. A majestic view of Long's Peak against a cloudless blue sky can be seen from our driveway!

Cowboy Buffalo Stew and Potato Leek (vegetarian) happen to be the two soups being served today, which our wonderful chefs are busy preparing back in the kitchen. Have a slice of our Honey Wheat Bread or our mouth-watering Baldpate Corn Bread! Unsure which to try? Share with a dining partner and have both! Fresh out of the oven today are two of our sweet muffins: Poppy Seed as well as Golden Sunshine. Our lovely staff has prepared for your dining pleasure the speciality salads for the day: Raspberry Delight, Texas Jicama and Apple Waldorf.
