Good Morning From The Baldpate Inn!

First off I would like to thank Margaret Hage for her presentation at last nights Summer Enchanted Evenings. For those of you who missed it we showed an old black and white home video of Estes Park in the early days that Margaret was in. Last night she narrated the video and took questions about the history of Estes Park. Next weeks topic is “Climbing Longs Peak!” We hope to see you here.

On the menu today we have our Cowboy Buffalo Stew and our Cream of Mushroom soups. Our muffins of the day are All Bran and Zucchini Dill.

The rumor for tomorrow is that we will be serving Red Chili and Broccoli Cheese.

We hope you will join us for Lunch or Dinner. For reservations call 970-586-5397 or visit our website at http://www.baldpateinn.com/dining.asp and reserve a table online.

Sincerely,
Scott Fossberg

Good Morning Estes Park,

It's a beautiful morning here in the Mountains and the hills are alive with...well you know. All of us here at the Baldpate want to wish our coworkers a safe trip and succesfull summit of Longs Peak. Jared, Emily, Katie and Dasha all left around 1am and hopefully will soon summit this mighty 14er.
Also tonight we are looking forward to another great Summer Enchanted Evenings Lecture. Our summer enchanted evenings program has been running since the beginning of summer and takes place every wednesday night here at the Baldpate Inn. Our topics focus on things that are uniquely estes park, our privous topics have included history of the park, information on the Baldpate's own key room, and many others. Tonight we're proud to bring back the follow up to our most popular topic about the hummingbirds. The talk will begin around 7pm, so make it an evening out and call and make some dinner reservations before hand. You can either give us a call at 970-586-6151, or you can go online through our dining page and make a dining reservation directly.
Now on to business, we've got an all-star line up of soups and muffins today, so if you've been out hiking and need a place to relax and reward yourself, the Baldpate Inn awaits your arrival. We're right across from Lily Lake Trailhead, which is about 6-7miles outside of Estes Park on Highway 7.
Soups today: White Chili and Tomato Rice. The Tomato Rice is a staple here at the Baldpate and for good reason.

Muffins: Lemon Ginger and Golden Sunshine. Golden Sunshine muffins feature golden raisins, apircots, and carrots, delicious.

Sorry folks the cooks are in a pretty heated debate over what soups we'll be serving tomorrow, stay tuned for details.

Thanks for reading and have a great day,

Good Morning All,

It looks like it is going to be another sunny, beautiful Estes Park Tuesday as our hummingbirds flit around outside our windows and the Aspens sway in the breeze. Our Bed and Breakfast guests seem quite carefree as they enjoy a hearty breakfast out on our sunporch and prepare themselves for today's adventures.

Good Morning Baldpateians,

Its a glorious day here on Twin Sisters Mountain, the sun is out so go out and hike! I suggest going up to Sandbeach Lake. The trail starts at the Copeland Lake Trailhead, which is located right at the entrance to the Wild Basin entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, it also means you don't have to pay the entrance fee. Great views and a secluded feeling make this hike well worth it.

Before we go any further we here at the Baldpate Inn want to emphatically thank Encore! Encore! for another stunning round of performances of Seven Keys to Baldpate this weekend. If you haven't heard, the Baldpate Inn is presenting the play of the novel we take our name after. This door slamming, plot twisting, gut splitting farce is perfect for a night out with the family. We've only got two performances left, August 14th and 15th, so call us at 970-586-6151 for ticket information.

If you want to come up today, or any other day, we will have our delicious soup and salad buffet all ready for you to enjoy. Today we have an all-star line up and it is certainly not something to be missed. If you know when you are coming up today, gives us at call at the number above for reservations, or if you are a little more tech savvy, you can go through our dining page and make a reservation directly.

Soups: Cowboy Buffalo Stew and Corn Chowder. Two of the most favorite soups from the Baldpate Kitchens on the same day? Yes indeed folks.

Muffins: Chocolate Mystery and Lemon Blueberry. If you can't guess the secret ingredient in the Chocolate Mystery Muffins, you can cheat and look it up in our cookbook, which besides offering some of the favorite recipes from the Baldpate, it has great information on the key collection and our history.

Sorry folks our chefs are still arguing over which soups they want for tomorrow, my bet is it will be very good.

To You and Yours,

Good Morning all,

After a week of rainy weather, I am excited to finally say it looks like the sun is going to come out and pay us a visit. Since our "7 Keys to Baldpate" play is an outdoor production, we have been lucky enough to have dodged the rain during show times, but we are all ready to not worry so much about it. Today's 2pm production should be beautiful, warm, and sunny for all that plan on attending.

In honor of today's fabulous weather, The Baldpate Inn will be serving our delicious Red Chili and Broccoli Cheese soups, along with our, Trail Mix and Banana Butterscotch muffins. What a "souperior" lineup! And if that isn't enough to get you excited, you can count on getting a piece of our famous cornbread or one of our homemade pies.

If you can't make it out today, rest assured that tomorrow will be just as delicious when we serve our Cowboy Buffalo Stew and our Corn Chowder. MmmMmm!

As always Baldpaters, thanks for reading!
