The
Baldpate Inn proudly presents local favorite, Kurtis Kelly as he revives a
medley of historic characters. Librarian and performer, Kurtis returns this
year to our Summer Enchanted Evenings series with more stories and
re-enactments of Lord Dunraven, Abner
Sprague, Enos Mills, and a few other
Estes Park historical figures.
Just
as old-time radio awakened the magic of storytelling, for more than a dozen
years, Kurtis Kelly has delighted audiences as he celebrates story telling
through his work vividly portraying the spirit of these plucky pioneers and historically
significant celebrities.
"Hearing history
from a first-person perspective allows it to come alive," Kelly says. "Through
storytelling and personal anecdotes, we feel a familiar connection to these
individuals that makes us appreciate them with renewed interest and new
insights."
This event is part of our Summer Enchanted Evenings series that runs from June through September. Our Wednesday evening series is part history, part natural history, and part show & tell.
