August 12th: Soups & Muffins

Good Morning!

What a lovely morning we are having here at The Baldpate Inn: the sun has been sending down its warming rays ever since its started to peek over the mountains this morning, dancing across a vast blue sky are the hummingbirds, and the leaves of the Apsen trees are flickering back and forth with the gentle breeze! A couple guests this morning enjoyed their cups of coffee before breakfast in front of a bright orange, crackling fire while catching up on a little news thanks to the Denver Post.

The soups our fine chefs are busy preparing back in the kitchen today are Beef Stew as well as Broccoli Cheese (vegetarian). Try either soup with a slice of our homemade Honey Wheat Bread or a piece of our mouth-watering Baldpate Corn Bread! For those of you who are in the mood for a savory muffin our Green Onion Cream Cheese Muffins will be served today. However, if you have more of a sweet tooth, our Chocolate Mystery Muffins should hit the spot! Can you solve their mystery??? Apple Waldorf, Pistachio & Carrot Pineapple happen to be the specialty salads our charming staff prepared for your enjoyment today!
